  1. Tejon Pass is 4,144 ft and drops to 1,499 ft at Grapevine. Caltrans may close this grade in snow instead of running a chain control. Source
  2. Altamont Pass on I-580 is 1,009 ft, on the same exit list as the Grant Line and El Charro miles. Source
  3. The Coalinga town-center search (10 miles) on October 14, 2026 returned no public DC fast sites. The Harris Ranch search, 8 miles around the ranch, was completed from the DOE state file on October 15, 2026. Those sites are listed on the Kettleman stop. Source
